Sterenhimmel translated from German into English stands for "starry sky." This creation is Felipe's first step towards his goal of crafting watches with astronomical complications. Aventurine is a natural blue gold stone and is used on the dial to effect the night sky. VVS diamonds are used as indexes at 3, 6, and 9.
The movement is a heavily modified hand skeletonized ETA 6497-1 calibre. The whole suite of traditional watchmaking techniques are used. The beauty is exemplified through the different internal angles and finishes, which allows for more beveled and polished edges.
The bridges are satin finished and the gears are gold plated. The balance cock is hand engraved and gold plated. The movement is rhodium plated. A contemporary design and aesthetic, made using traditional watchmaking artistry.
The Sterenhimmel is available to order in two versions - with, or without diamonds on the tear-shaped lugs.
