Homage to Harrison

Felipe's watchmaking is inspired by early timepieces and he wanted to create a classic dress watch which connected him to one of his historical role models - the 18th century British watchmaker John Harrison.

Using traditional elements, Felipe created a frostered non-laquered dial. Sandblasting creates a grainy texture on the dial which is then black rhodium plated. The chapter ring is crafted in one delicate piece which is then applied onto the base dial and finished with black polishing. The hands and the chapter ring are mirror finished and provide contrast and depth against the monochromatic grey dial. The numbers can be personalized with either Arabic, Breguet, Roman, or Chinese numerals.

The movement is inspired by Harrison's own life-time watch - the H4. Felipe chose to finish the movement of the HTH in black rhodium, while the balance cock is plated in a contrasting gold.

The movement is based on the ETA 6498 calibre except Felipe has completely disassembled and transformed the entire movement into a horological masterpiece. Haute horlogerie techniques are used throughout - most notable is the anglage.

The watch beats at 21,600 vph and has a power reserve of approximately fifty hours.
