Monaco Chronograph
When Heuer introduced its first automatic chronographs in 1969, the Autavia and Carrera moved to new cases to accommodate the larger Chronomatic Calibre 11 movement, while the Monaco was an entirely new model, its radical shape and colors designed to showcase the new movement that would take Heuer into the 1970s. Ironically, the Autavia and Carrera would survive the decade that was so challenging for the Swiss watch industry, while the Monaco would be discontinued around 1975. Since TAG Heuer created the first re-edition of the Monaco in 1997, however, the Monaco has been produced in a wide variety of styles, colors, configurations and materials, some following the lines of the very first models from the 1970s and others taking the Monaco collection even further beyond conventional watch design. Yes, the Monaco was ahead of its time in 1969, but the last 25 years have established that the “circle in the square” is the timeless design it was expected to be.

First seen on the wrist of Steve McQueen’s in the classic race film Le Mans in 1969, the Monaco is a timeless icon of revolutionary design.
This automatic chronograph Monaco Calibre 11 is THE original model, the very first square and waterproof chronograph in the world. Revolutionary and icon of the “King of cool” Steve McQueen, this calibre 11 edition still features the famous crown on the left; it was a way of showing that manual winding was no longer necessary.

Formula 1 Chronograph
At the launch in 1986, TAG Heuer’s Formula 1 collection had everything going for it. Colorful, inexpensive quartz watches that were made in Switzerland were taking the world by storm; under the new ownership by TAG, the company had abundant resources to develop this collection of watches and chronographs; and the “Formula 1” name itself drew on the company’s deep, historic connection to motorsports.
Over the intervening years, the Formula 1 collection has remained a vibrant and popular part of the TAG Heuer catalogue, as the company has offered a rich variety of colours, materials, styles and movements.
From the simple fibreglass watches in 1986 to the most recent chronographs powered by TAG Heuer’s state-of-the-art automatic movements, the Formula 1 watches and chronographs have captured the spirit and energy of motorsports, in a unique and unrivalled manner.

Inspired by the intensity of racing, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph in 44mm is crafted for true racing enthusiasts. The sleek titanium grade 2 case and vibrant accents make this timepiece a bold statement on and off the track.

Carrera Chronograph
Since 1991, TAG Heuer is a proud partner of the Carrera Panamericana, a gruelling race stretching across the unforgivable Mexican landscape. First held in 1950 but cancelled in 1955, it was revived in 1988. Jack Heuer’s famous Carrera chronograph - released in 1963 - paid homage to this one-of-a-kind event.
Jack Heuer first heard about the Carrera Panamericana in 1962 from the parents of drivers Pedro and Ricardo Rodriguez, relieved that their sons were too young to have sped through the world’s most dangerous race. But their story immediately sparked Jack’s imagination, leading him to design the first racing-ready chronograph. Today, the TAG Heuer Carrera perfectly encapsulates the Mexican race’s relentless spirit of adventure.

The smokey purple sunray-brushed dial adds depth and sophistication. Contrasting black subdials further elevate the striking design.
