The daughter of a diamond merchant, Valerie Messika was struck with the vision of jewellery to empower women, giving them the confidence and strength to take their ambitions even further. Growing up, Valerie Messika would observe her father at work, and he would move the diamonds between his fingers to better capture their brilliance. It was here that Valerie declared that a diamond is never as beautiful as when it is in motion.
