Introducing the House of Breguet’s latest Type XXI. A limited edition titanium chronograph that marks a new chapter in the history of its iconic collection.
While Breguet is renowned for some of the finest dress watches in the world, it’s also often associated with aviation. Making a name for itself with the launch of its Type XX chronographs commissioned by the French Air Force and Naval Aviation until the 1980s. Its modern iterations embody that same thrill and spirit of adventure.
Innovation Runs in the Family
Considered the godfather of modern watchmaking, Abraham-Louis Breguet founded his eponymous brand and was responsible for various horological achievements in his time. Most notably, the tourbillon. Similarly, his great-great-grandson Louis Charles Breguet was a pioneer in the field of aviation – famed for designing several aircrafts and taking Breguet to the skies.
Ready For Takeoff
The Type XXI 3815 chronograph is a contemporary counterpart to the 3817. Crafted from lightweight titanium. Reinforced by 100m water resistance. And with the kind of execution we can expect from Breguet. Most significantly, its distinctive fluted case-band. Equal parts form and function.
Featuring a sunburst, deep-black dial that’s accentuated by vivid orange numerals, markers and hands – all luminescent. The dial now displays only two counters: a 24-hour indicator and small seconds positioned at 3 and 9 o’clock, respectively. The chronograph’s central minutes and seconds totaliser is equipped with a flyback function.
Its self-winding movement incorporates the latest technologies implemented by Breguet – including a silicon escapement and balance spring. Exhibited in all its mechanical glory through a sapphire-crystal caseback. Worn on a utilitarian calfskin-leather strap with complementary orange stitching.
The Type XXI 3815 chronograph in orange is individually numbered and limited to 250 pieces worldwide. At least one at Monards; you know where to find us.
